Travel to Sligo and reception
17.07 The journey to Sligo began after 6:00 am from FRAC [our local shop] in Turaszówka, we safely got to the airport in Krakow, where we took a flight to Dublin. There, a comfortable coach was waiting for us and around 6 pm we arrived to Sligo, where lunch-dinner prepared by the host families was ready to eat.
18.07 Heat in Sligo took us by surprise. Representatives of the host company Your International Training welcomed us at the organisational meeting called „Hello meeting”. Students got acquainted with their work place where during the following month they spent a lot of time. The same day, we took a walk around Sligo visiting ie.: neo-gothic cathedral.19.07 The weather in Sligo has returned to „normal”, ie chilly and cloudy. Students catch the rhythm of the day, breakfast, apprenticeship, dinner, city walks or excursions by the ocean.
20.07 „Środa minie tydzień zginie” hmm, it is almost untranslatable but … “Beter days are just around the corner… “.A bit of walk as usual. Little Sun improves mood.23.07 A trip to „Devil Chimney”, waterfalls and cliffs – local attractions.
25.07 The tutors visit the place of apprenticeship. Youths get to know the city and its surroundings.31.07 A trip to „Slieve League” – a hill and beautiful cliffs in the northwest Ireland.
https://www.ireland.com/en-us/destinations/regions/slieve-league-cliffs/1.08 Learning and playing continues. Unfortunately, the capricious weather gives some of us hard time.
2.08 Sligo Rovers (Soccer) made it to the next round of the Confederations League Cup; the same day horse racing took place; we also visited the Sanctuary in Knock.6.08 „Climbing” the surrounding hills – admiring the views. Not to mention watching admirable gladiators during a rugby match… . Returning home is getting closer and closer, however, everyone knows „East or West home’s the best …”.
10.08 Ostatnie spacery i zwiedzanie okolic Sligo: Sligo Abbey, okolic Parke’s Castle i jeziora Lough Gill. To co wydawało się tak odległe jak zwykle nadchodzi za szybko… 13.08 Nadszedł czas pożegnań. Nie oglądamy się za siebie licząc na świetlaną przyszłość (pomimo deszczowego powitania w PL). A oto raz jeszcze bohaterowie Programu Erasmus + w naszej szkole – Edycja 2021. Dziękujemy że byliśmy razem!
